My work is housed in diverse forms created using skills in bookbinding and book arts. Three dimensional structures lead the reader into an alternative world of discovery whilst more traditional codex book forms challenge expectations with the use of the page, line and text.

A lifelong passion for folklore has fed into my visual expression and inspired me to link historical research into folktales with modern day experiences of traditional storytelling. I combine illustration, live events, sound recording and statistical analysis in my artistic representation of memory and storytelling.

I am fascinated by my family history and investigate aspects of tales I have read and heard in unique Artist's Books which serve to retell the stories and create a tangible legacy dedicated to my ancestors.

Through diverse experimental drawing techniques I have developed a distinct illustrative style and a passion for documenting everyday life in the world around me. Filling sketchbooks, I am creating a visual legacy of the present.

My work has appeared in high profile London exhibitions and key publications. In addition I print and publish my own limited editions of artist's books.

As a freelance artist educator I work with school groups, community organisations and individuals, devising and leading workshops in book arts, experimental drawing techniques and photography. My wealth of experience gained working as a teacher and tutor allows me to create content to suit the profile of each group. I ensure that my workshops are enjoyable and allow the participants to achieve their individual potential. I aim to inspire, encourage and enthuse my students in the world of creativity.

Working to commission, I create artwork for commercial, charity and private clients.
